BULK TRASH pickup by the County is on the 2nd Monday week of each month. Please plan accordingly when placing items at the curb. You may begin placing items out on the curb on the Friday before the pick up day. Any other items put out ahead of time out side of this one weekend per month is a violation of our Covenants. As we enter full fall and you end up with bags of leaves, please remember they must be stored out of sight until bulk pick up day. Alternatively, you can take them over to the Madison County drop site on Hwy 53 any day during their operating hours. If you wish, you can call the District 4 County Supervisor’s Office at 852-8351 to confirm their schedule or go to their website . https://www.madisoncountyal.gov/government/about-your-county/district-four/large-debris-collection
Our neighborhood is on two recycling routes. Recycling will be picked up for all of Kelly Plantation (except Huntsmen Lane and Buck Grass Circle) on the 4th Friday of the month. Huntsmen Lane and Buck Grass Circle will be the 2nd Friday of the month. If you wish to sign up for recycling please contact Recycling Alliance of North Alabama (RANA) at 256-801-2278 or visit their website. On the website you can find the current schedule including holidays. A second cart can also be requested. RANA will ONLY accept #1 and #2 narrow-neck plastic bottles, aluminum and steel bi-metal cans, clean paper products, and flattened cardboard that fits in the cart (cut down to size, if necessary). Carts should be on the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the day of collection. Drivers can collect as late as 8pm, however due to delays caused by mechanical issues and staffing issues we are advised to leave the bins out until they can be picked up at some point during the week.
Other ways to recycle...here are enrollment and drop off locations for other items.

Please observe our 25 MPH Speed Limit. Ask any visitors to your home to do so as well. Keep an eye out for children riding bikes and walking. We still have construction in the neighborhood so please watch for workers, vehicles and debris.
Please watch out for the ducks and geese in the road near the ponds and warn guests to do the same. They often cross from one pond to the other and may walk into the road several times a day.
Do not disturb the bluebird houses around the neighborhood between April and August. The Bluebirds are nesting. After August, houses may be checked and cleaned out if no sign of active nesting is present. Contact the Webmaster is a house needs attention.
